Home teeth bleaching system

We have been using this techniqe for the last 15 years and we've never had a patient that hasn't been delighted with the results achieved.

This technique is a safe, inexpensive way to improve one of your most important assests - your smile. And it's so straightforward it can be done by you, the patient at home.

On your first appointment we can take upper and lower moulds of your teeth. These will then be sent to our dental laboratory, who will make the custom lightening trays for you.

On your second appointment, one week later, we will provide you with a demonstration and all you need to start your tooth lightening course.

You will be asked to attend a follow-up appointment two weeks later to review the new, brighter shade.

Tooth lightening usually takes 2 weeks to complete, very rarely some cases may take a little longer.

Crowns and fillings won't be lightened, and in some cases, will need replacing afterwards if within the smile line.

How does the home bleaching work?

The gel we use contains 15% Carbamide Peroxide, as this substance is broken down, oxygen enteres the enamel and dentin of the tooth structure. This helps to remove the coloured substances within the tooth.

Tooth lightening is a permanent change, but you may feel that you want to top-up from time to time. Single syringes of the gel are available to buy at the practice for this purpose.

Power Bleaching

How does the in surgery tooth whitening work?
